Hydrogen and nuclear energy offer carbon-neutral solutions for electricity and heat production. Hydrogen can enable carbon neutrality in challenging sectors, such as long-distance heavy traffic, maritime transport and in the process industry. It can also help balance the supply and demand of renewable energy and its storage. Nuclear energy helps us achieve our carbon-neutrality goals in electricity and district heat production.

Safe and sustainable nuclear power
We enable the revival of nuclear energy globally and in Finland with new reactor types and modular solutions. We offer solutions for carbon-neutral production of electrical and thermal energy with nuclear power. We develop traditional light water reactor technologies, advanced reactor technologies and fusion.
Competitive hydrogen
We develop hydrogen production systems, hydrogen infrastructure and Power-to-X solutions. We aim to solve bottlenecks in the hydrogen economy by scaling up green hydrogen production capacity and reducing costs. We study electrolysis process development and know-how, hydrogen storage, fuel cells, synthesis, catalysis and direct use of hydrogen.
