How to get to VTT

​VTT is situated in Otaniemi, in the city of Espoo, about 10 km from Helsinki centre and about 25 km from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport.
 

Transport connections from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport:

• Taxi to VTT Espoo (20 - 30 min)
• Public transport/by train: the Ring Rail Line to Helsinki centre (price about 6,20 €). From the centre take the metro to the Aalto University station (price 5,50 € from ticket machines but ticket used on Ring Rail line is valid on the metro as well, journey lasts approx. 11-12 min), for timetables and mapping out your entire journey, see the journey planner.

VTT FutureHub parking and how to get to Maarintie 3

VTT main building FutureHub's main entrance parking lot is accessed from Maarintie 3 and found in connection to the building. Visitor parking is marked with signs. Disabled parking is available as well as electric car charging for guests. Visitors give their registration number when signing in at the lobby to avoid parking fines. The main entrance is temporarily accessen via Maarintie 3 due to a construction site, despite the official address being Tekniikantie 21.

How to get to VTT Bioruukki

The best way to get to VTT Bioruukki from Helsinki city centre is to take the metro with the destination Kivenlahti, and to get off at the end station Kivenlahti. Entrance to the building from Kiviruukinkatu.

​VTT Jyväskylä is situated appr. 270 km from Helsinki. Jyväskylä airport is located in Tikkakoski about 23 km from Jyväskylä city centre.

• No airport taxi, but there are taxis waiting in front of the airport when flights arrive. You can book a taxi in advance from Jytaksi.
• There is no bus service between Jyväskylä city center and the airport.

Parking and arriving to VTT Kajaani

• VTT Kajaani is located on Renforsin Ranta business area (see the map). It is possible to access the area by car or on foot by registering at the info point in Portti building no 15 for guest tags and instructions for moving around the area.
• Due to area survellaince, please contact Kari Kyllönen [email protected] before arrival. Guests arriving unannounced should contact the info point at the Portti building no 15 (see the map) for further instructions.
• There’s free parking in front of VTT and as marked on the map (P1 and P2).
• You can move around the business area if you have a guest tag.

VTT Kuopio is situated appr. 400 km from Helsinki (KPY Novapolis Oy workspaces, building M). Kuopio airport is located appr. 20 km (20 min.) from VTT Kuopio.

​VTT Oulu is situated about 600 km from Helsinki. Oulu airport is located in Oulunsalo, about 15 kilometres south-west of Oulu city center.
