Sustainable manufacturing
Collaboration throughout the manufacturing value chain will create new production methods, using e.g. robotics, 3D printing, and augmented reality to support human labour.
In the future, people and machines will be working closer together.
Customers expect personalisation, speed, quality, and low price from products. At the same time all production and logistics need to be as environmentally friendly as possible. For all of this to be profitable, cooperation among many actors, new service business activities, and the utilisation of developed technologies are needed throughout the value chain.
In 2030 new products will be manufactured flexibly and efficiently, using recycled materials and without wasting natural resources. Finland will be a pioneer of the manufacturing activities of the next generation. We will be capable of autonomous production and manufacturing products that have been personalised to the individual needs of consumers as efficiently as those that are mass-produced.
Our approach
We help our customers develop smart production methods and networks for production, using advanced robotics, 3D printing, augmented reality, simulation, big data, and artificial intelligence to support human labour. We help create added value both for producers and end users.
These are the cornerstones of our approach:
-
We utilise information that promotes customer value in each phase of the value chain: from the first customer contact to the delivery of the product or service, all the way to re-use.
-
We create new business models by, for example, changing data into services with the help of different kinds of platforms or by dispersing production to several smaller units.
-
We create autonomous production environments that can react quickly to the changing needs of customers and the market. They enable safe, effective, and flexible solutions in the entire production chain.
-
We ensure the success of companies in a changing production environment by promoting employee well-being with the help of various technologies, such as cooperative robotics, artificial intelligence, or remote use applications.
