Speakers
Marko Paakkinen is leading a research team at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, working on electrical powertrains and energy storage. His research topics are mostly related to EV charging, ranging from low-power AC charging to megawatt-level fast DC charging. He is currently building a national level EV charging testbed initiative. Marko has 20 years of experience in designing automation and electronics for challenging environments, and domain knowledge on heavy-duty vehicles. Last five years Marko has been working at VTT on electrification of transport topics. He has a Master of Science (Engineering) degree from the Tampere University of Technology (1998).
Petri Auno works as a Managing Director of Nobina in Finland. Petri has more than 20 years of work experience in public transport. He has held senior positions in the railways prior to his appointment as Managing Director of Nobina Finland in 2019.
Jon Stenslet has been at Ruter for over six years, now leading the team who is working on requirements for buses, depots, fuel/energy systems, environmental requirements and circular economy. He holds a MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Ilmenau in Germany, and studied business administration in Bergen, Norway. Jon has been a driving force in the introduction of electric buses in the Oslo region since 2015. He has experience from the car industry (DaimlerChrysler and Porsche), and technology development at Tomra Systems ASA (Norway) and Tandberg/Cisco (Norway)
Anouk Hol is responsible for product management of the Citea city bus of VDL Bus & Coach, the market leader in Western Europe for electric buses. From 2015 she was closely involved in the research and development of the New Generation Citea. With her team she was involved in the aerodynamic shape optimization, energy management and control design and thermodynamics and the heat pump system design. She collaborated with universities and research partners in Europe within several European projects. In March 2020 she started as a product manager. As a product manager she is responsible for presenting and training colleagues from sales about the new generation Citea and support the tender team. Furthermore she is responsible for managing the product portfolio we’re offering in the market in close collaboration with the factories, engineering and homologation
Ms. Anouk Hol has a bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering and a master degree in Mechanical Engineering of the University of Twente. During her master she specialized in thermodynamics and aerodynamics of cars within Volkswagen AG. In 2015 she started in the concept development department of VDL Bus & Coach.
Rafael Åman received the M.Sc. (Eng.) and D.Sc. (Tech.) degrees in mechanical engineering from Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland, in 2007 and 2011, respectively. Currently, he is working as the Research Team Leader of the Smart Vehicle Fleets team at VTT. His international experience cover research, product development and teaching in Mechatronics and Heavy Vehicles related topics in different roles in academia and in industry. His current research activities are focused on systems simulations, vehicle technology and digital services of e-mobility infrastructure.
