VTT ranked excellently in the Universum survey, which examined the perceptions of employers among professionals in different fields. According to the survey, VTT is the seventh most attractive workplace for experts in both natural science and engineering. 9% of natural science professionals and 8% of engineering professionals chose VTT as their ideal workplace.
On 28 October, Universum published the results of an annual survey the goal of which is to find out how familiar professionals in different fields are with employers, and if they would consider working there and select them as their ideal workplace. VTT improved its ranking as an ideal workplace for natural science professionals: it ranked 7 as opposed to rank 11 in 2020.
Among engineering professionals, VTT was also the seventh most attractive workplace. This means that 8% of engineering professionals chose VTT as their ideal workplace. Engineering experts are well aware of VTT: 94% of this group are familiar with VTT.
“The result is excellent and important to us, as engineering and natural science experts are an important target group for us. The survey also revealed that our work community is well in line with the expectations of engineering and natural science professionals. The results provide an excellent basis to build and strengthen our employer brand even more,” says Iris Lagerström, Manager, Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding, Global Mobility and HR Digitalisation and Analytics.

The Universum survey was carried out between November 2020 and August 2021. A total of 9,780 experts from 48 industries and 36 occupational groups responded to it. 1,911 engineering professionals and 414 natural science professionals participated in the ranking.
