Young engineering professionals have voted VTT the second most attractive employer in Finland. VTT ranked sixth in the previous survey conducted in 2017. Among young natural sciences professionals, VTT is the sixth most attractive employer (15th in 2017). The results of the survey were revealed in a report published by Universum on 12 October.
“VTT’s ranking as an attractive employer is fabulous news. People and competence are our most important assets, which is why we invest heavily in human resources development. It is great that we are considered one of the top employers”, says VTT’s SVP, Human Resources Kirsi Nuotto.
“We will also need versatile, new competence in the future, and we intend to recruit almost 300 new employees next year. Engineering and natural sciences experts are still extremely important for us, and the importance of IT competence keeps growing at a faster and faster rate all the time. We will also need a broad range of social sciences competence in the future", Kirsi Nuotto explains.
Young engineering professionals voted KONE the most attractive employer this year, and natural sciences professionals gave the title to the Natural Resources Institute Finland.
Young professionals identified varied job descriptions, competitive pay and confidence in their skills as the most important characteristics of an attractive employer.
A total of 5,185 Finnish professionals were interviewed for the survey between February and August 2018 to gauge their views on employers and the labour market.
